I have the feeling that a gear in the automatic transmission of my Citroen C5 Aircross no longer shifts or jumps: If you have the feeling that your gears no longer shift or tend to jump on your Citroen C5 Aircross, there is a component that is most likely to blame for this failure. In truth, the solenoid that works as a “switch” to engage Citroen C5 automatic gearbox problem. C5 2.0hdi 164hp, wagon, exclusive, 225.000 KM on it, third owner. Gearbox oil was supposedly changed at 180.000 KM (though there is no original receipt). When i bought it a month ago the automatic shifting was like butter but now, especially when gearing down, there is a slight hardness to it. The Park interlock is not working as it should. If the C5 is the same as the Xantia, there's a solenoid that locks the lever in Park until you press the brake. It's all controlled by the Autobox ECU and the solenoid is operated via a relay. The solenoid can be manually bypassed by slipping off the trim around the gear gate and looking to the x4b7.
